Anxiety: how to cope day to day

Anxiety is part of life, but it does not have to run it. Discover practical strategies and when to seek professional support.

Anxiety: how to cope day to day

Anxiety is a natural response of the body to what we perceive as a threat. The problem arises when it becomes constant, intense and starts to disrupt routine, sleep and relationships.

Strategies that help day to day

  • Conscious breathing: inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 4, exhale for 6.
  • Grounding in the present: name 5 things you see, 4 you hear and 3 you feel.
  • Sleep hygiene: regular schedules and fewer screens before bed.
  • Movement: walks and exercise help regulate the nervous system.
  • Healthy boundaries: learning to say no is also self-care.

When to seek professional help

If anxiety has been frequent, if panic arises or if you feel you have lost control of your routine, therapy offers tools to understand triggers and regain balance, at your own pace.

Caring for anxiety is not eliminating fear, but learning to relate to it differently.

In psychological support, we build together a repertoire to handle excessive worry and restore a sense of safety in everyday life.
